Airband Communications Launches National Wholesale Program

Randy White Telecommunications (RWT) and others join program to provide cost-effective last-mile access and point-to-point services over Airband’s scalable fixed-wireless network

DALLAS – Aug. 18, 2008 – Airband Communications Inc., the industry’s leading fixed-wireless provider for business customers in the United States, has established a national wholesale program to further expand the company’s market reach and strengthen Airband’s ability to sell its WiMAX-based solutions to businesses across the country.  Since this program’s inception, Airband has signed more than 10 MSAs with major wholesale partners, including Randy White Telecommunications.

Founded in 1998, Dallas-based Randy White Telecommunications (RWT) provides local voice, data communication services, toll-free products, MPLS, Internet Access, hosted VOIP, and SIP trunking.  RWT’s commitment to its employees and customers has earned them a reputation of stability and dedication, which has resulted in thousands of satisfied customers nationwide. “Airband’s fixed-wireless services give us the ability to rapidly deploy last-mile access and point-to-point circuits, even in crowded metropolitan areas,” said RWT President Lori Sanchez.  “We currently have a 15 Mbps circuit for our internal use and we’re very pleased with the performance, price point and ease of deployment.” Airband’s wholesale program targets carriers, resellers and enhanced service providers with the following products and services:

Wireless Point-to-Point Service leverages WiMAX fixed-wireless technology to deliver private line services quickly, even in densely populated metropolitan areas.  This service supports opportunities from 45 Mbps up to GigE speeds, and provides network connections up to 20 miles with clear line of sight;

Fixed-Wireless Last-Mile Access bypasses the legacy wired network for faster installation and service delivery.  Unlike traditional wireline providers, this service is not bound by T1 or DS3 increments, so end-user customers can have just the bandwidth they need and without waiting weeks;

Fixed-Wireless Internet Access provides an Internet access service that is uniquely suited to a wide range of customers and their ever-changing needs, whether they are a small business or a Fortune 1000 company.

 “In successfully launching Airband’s wholesale/reseller program, we are committed to further expanding our distribution channels with greater reach across the country,” said David Searcy, vice-president of sales for Airband.  “We are confident that through our growing network of wholesale partners like Randy White Telecommunications, more businesses will realize the advantages of Airband’s fixed-wireless WiMAX solutions.”
