TeraGo Networks Expands its Customer Base in the Greater Vancouver Area

National broadband service provider connects businesses in growing Abbotsford market

Toronto, ON – October 1, 2008 – TeraGo Networks Inc. (TSX:TGO), a leading national broadband service provider has expanded its presence in the Greater Vancouver Area with the introduction of its services to businesses in Abbotsford.
A 2008 report by the Conference Board of Canada predicts that Abbotsford will have the highest growth rate among 14 small and mid-sized cities across Canada this year. The report says that Abbotsford’s growth will be seen primarily in the non-residential building sector. The Conference Board forecasts a 6.6% rise in construction output in 2008 that will keep Abbotsford’s economy ahead of the national average.

“Abbotsford is currently experiencing significant growth in its economic development and demand for broadband communications to support the new business infrastructure,” says Bryan Boyd, President and CEO, TeraGo Networks. “We are very excited to be able to help businesses in Abbotsford with their mission-critical communications needs. TeraGo’s leading-edge broadband technology focuses exclusively on business communications and the importance of having fast access to the Internet.”

TeraGo began operations in the Pacific region in 2001 by providing service to business customers in Victoria and Kelowna. Business growth in the area allowed TeraGo to expand its service to Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby and establish a Sales office in Vancouver in 2007.

Since then, the company has rapidly increased its customer base through the delivery of customer-centric solutions, superior value and performance.

“Through our carrier-grade IP network, we provide business customers with a telecommunications choice,” comments Bryan Boyd. “Our network is independent of the phone and cable networks and enables us to deliver Internet service where they can’t. We are also meeting the growing demand for true network diversity and local and wide area networking services for businesses that need to connect multiple locations in one city or across Canada. Our expansion into Abbotsford is part of our aggressive strategy to increase our national footprint and reach more businesses in Canada in need of high bandwidth services,” he added.

TeraGo’s Ethernet-based network gives customers the flexibility of choosing a dedicated Internet access speed or a burstable speed to accommodate data traffic spikes. Customers who want fast service upgrades benefit from TeraGo’s network scalability that quickly adapts to changing customer requirements.
