DEP is proactively seeking investment opportunities in selected sectors that we believe are driving innovation in communications, Internet and media. The diversity of talent and resources that we readily draw upon, our ability to understand the issues and dynamics affecting specific industry segments, and our collective and practical business experience make us a nimble and attractive partner for entrepreneurs seeking to launch or expand innovative enterprises.

DEP typically invests in companies in which we have significant influence. By positioning ourselves to work side-by-side with management, we are able to contribute to key decisions that help management avoid or overcome challenges affecting expansion stage companies. We typically invest $1 to $5 million per transaction. When co-investing with other investors, we seek those with similar risk/return profiles to our own and with aligned perceptions regarding the appropriate direction of the company. We look for companies that have a differentiated service or technology in a large or growing market with a proven management team that has demonstrated its ability to execute. Finally, DEP requires that companies have manageable capital requirements and are able to scale effectively.
